Happy Birthday Sleepover

I'm not sure how it actually came about, but somehow we decided that Trace's first sleepover would be on my birthday this year. We had a party and cake for Kevin's siblings and their families and then Cam, Boston and Fischer stayed and had an awesome sleepover. They played games, watched a movie, and generally stayed up way too late. I guess the way I explained it was that when my boy is happy, I'm happy and boy was he happy that night! It was a great time for the boys and I enjoyed watching them play and just hang out together. 

Mac & Cheese

Kevin is such a great cook and I'm so pleased that he's chosen to help Trace learn that "boys can cook too". It started as a way to encourage Trace to try new things. We thought; "if he'll help make the food, maybe he'll eat it". Worked a little less than we had hoped, but he's making progress. I contribute to the event only in the fact that I insist that Trace wear an apron when cooking. Maybe Kevin should be teaching me to cook as well. 

Pizza

Trace's favorite food is pizza right now and he would eat it for every meal if we let him. Kevin decided that he might like to learn how to make a pizza from scratch and it might even been something the rest of the family would eat also. Trace was great at listening to the instructions and I thought it was so cute how he insisted that he and Dad wear aprons because that's what you do when you cook. Guess I'm rubbing off on him a little bit. 

Papa bought him this bear at the store, how nice!

Let it Snow!

We were so lucky and actually got snow on Christmas Day this year, before I had to go back to work, Trace and I went outside to enjoy the "fresh powder" as only we can. I took out my camera and got some really cute shots of the really cute boy!
