After Trace got out of his first day of school and when Daddy got home, we let him open a few things that we had gotten him. With all the attention being paid to school starting and all that comes with that, we decided to have Trace's birthday celebrations with extended family the weekend after he turned 6. He didn't mind, he just was happy to have people over and of course, the presents helped too.

When the time came for the family to come over, Kevin made a double layer, "dirt and worms" cake. It was two layers of chocolate with gummy worms in the middle and Oreo dirt all around it. Turned out pretty good and was really delicious!

The day of Trace's Taylor family party, Aunt Tamara and Uncle Adam were very sick and planning their upcoming nuptials, but Rob, Ivanna, Nana and Papa came over and helped the little guy celebrate.
