Monster Truck Rally

We decided to embrace our inner redneck and went to see a Monster Truck rally that we got free tickets to. Thankfully, someone warned us ahead of time that we should take some ear protection and I was sure glad we did! It was really loud! We got to see a couple of the trucks up close before the action began and all in all it was an interesting experience. We came out of the arena coughing because of all the dust, but Trace had a great time and that's what matters. (I blame his genes.)

Valentines Day

Valentines celebrations were extra fun this year since it was the first day Trace got to participate in the box making and card passing that occurs at all elementary schools for the first time this year. He decided that he wanted to have his box wrapped in red shiny paper with frog stickers with googly  eyes all over it. At Kindergarten, they made sugar cookies, played games and of course, exchanged Valentines with each other. Trace gave out Star Wars themed Valentines that included a small glow stick as a pretend light saber. He thought they were pretty cool and so did I.
