Since we wanted to try out our camping trailer before we put it away for the winter, we consulted our camping pro family members, the James'. They set up a camping trip for us in the South end of Utah near Zion National Park in a small campground called "Quail Creek". Aside from it being in the high 80's at night and 90's during the day, raining all the time and murky water that the fish did not bite at, we had a good time! Not too bad of a trip for the first time trying out the new trailer. I think we're going to have a lot of good times in the not to distant future.
We went to Zions and discovered that the rest of the world had decided to go there also and the line to get into the park was hours long. So, we decided to explore the surrounding city and shops and ended up having lunch in the elementary school playground. We stumbled upon a shop with a petting zoo in the back that you could buy carrots and feed the animals. It was interesting, but the kids had a good time.

| These building were part of the petting zoo area. Kind of cute photo ops. |

We attempted to go fishing but nothing was biting. Nevertheless, we discovered that Trace has an uncanny natural ability to cast a fishing line. He was shown how to do it one time by Uncle Nate and then he just took off. He was doing it better and more accurately than Emma whose been fishing for years. Then, I look away for a second and he is showing others how to cast. He even got it farther into the water than his Mom did. Amazing!

| This was interesting! This crane was very territorial over the lake. Anytime another bird came by, he would chase it away and squawk and make a bunch of noise. Pretty interesting to watch! |

This is the rock that Shaunasee has taken her kids pictures at every year they come here.
Cool to see those kiddos grow! |
