Since I was having a really stressful time (more to come on that) I asked Kevin after he got off work if we could visit one of my favorite restaurants, the Melting Pot. Trace had never been there and it would be a nice distraction. Trace loved it! I was worried that he would burn himself, but he was really careful and finished his plate with no trouble. He got the shrimp and gobbled it up almost as fast as the chocolate! Such a nice night with those two boys most important to me.

Thanksgiving
This Thanksgiving Rob and Ivanna were nice enough to host. Mom brought the turkey, Kevin made his delicious sweet potato casserole and Tamara made a cheesecake to write home about. Such a yummy meal and good company too.
Trace wanted to make his own turkey, so he made one out of Legos!

Lobster Dinner
One day, we decided to go to dinner at Red Lobster and the restaurant in our town has a lobster tank out front. While waiting for our table, Trace was looking at the lobsters and talking about how they could potentially be someone's dinner. One of the employees saw him looking and asked if he wanted to hold a live one. Wow! He was brave and said he would! It was so big! He held it really good while I snapped a picture. The employee said that the bands on the claws indicate the age of the lobster. The one Trace is holding is over 3 times his age! Based on her calculations, it was over 21 years old! Crazy! Needless to say, we all had crab for dinner that night.

Planning with Papa
Trace was with his Papa outside the other day and while watching Papa do yard work he said; "Hey Papa, why did you we-tire (retire) from your work?" Papa replied; "Because I'm getting older and I didn't want to do that work anymore." With a great sigh, my son replied; "Ah man, I'm only in 1st grade, I gotta long way to go until I can we-tire." *sigh* I think we all feel that way sometimes, kid.

7 year old pictures
Again, I was a bit late in getting my little boy in front of a camera, but we did get him in for his 7 year old photos and since it was a little after Halloween, we decided that one of his "outfits" would be his Captain Hook Halloween costume. He loved it and was glad to have his picture taken in it. Such a handsome little boy getting bigger every day.

Puppy Love
Right after Winnie had her first litter of puppies, Rob and Ivanna asked me to babysit Liam one evening. I took Trace with me and we had a great time playing with the only remaining puppy left. He had been promised to a nice family, but they weren't ready to take him yet, so we got to play with him for the night. So cute!
