We decided that a good Christmas present to ourselves would be getting new carpet on the parts of the house that were really worn down after our 4 years in this house and the previous 7 years when there were 9 people living here before us. The timing seemed right since Trace isn't a baby and we have a dog that isn't too old or too young to control her bladder. Part of the process was moving all of our furniture to the areas that were not getting new carpet and Trace found great fun in trying to fit in between all the piles and stacks of furniture. I'm glad he knows how to make fun out of any situation.
