For Sale!

Since Tamara was moving and Mom was finding that she needed to get rid of stuff, they suggested we have a garage sale and see if others want some of the stuff we didn't. Trace had some cousins that had a lemonade stand late in the prior year, so we decided to have our own at the garage sale. It was quite the success! We added cookies and bottled water and I let Trace have the profits as his own. We ended up selling a lot of stuff and when were done, Tamara was contacted by some folks that came to pick everything that was left and haul it away. I ended up being really sick that day, but we couldn't postpone the sale and I ended up just sitting and trying not to cough on all the food.

Crystal Hot Springs

As another fun summer adventure, we decided to drive up to the Brigham City/Honeyville area of Utah to a place where a natural cool spring and a natural hot springs are only about 100 yards away from each other and a place called Crystal Hot Springs has designed a water park with 3 soaking pools and waterslides for the whole family. The water has the highest mineral content in the whole United States and is supposed to do wonders for your skin and body. We went to the pools a couple times and Kevin Sr. and Colleen even drove up to join us for a day. The weather was very nice while we were in the pools, but it turned windy and cold really fast. Yet another time we were thankful for the warmth of the trailer on a cold night of camping.

Yes, we must always check to see how many kids can fit in Raven's kennel.

The next day it was pouring down rain all day and we really needed something for the kids to do to keep them out of the rain. We ended up going to an indoor bounce house and since it was Mother's Day weekend, Shaunasee and I got to go on the bounce houses as well. We didn't really take advantage of that perk too much, but I managed to throw myself down a bounce slide and had fun playing around with the kids until the weather got better.

Geez, Fischer, use your arms buddy! Not just your face!

We arrived a day and a half before Shaunasee and her family, so we took advantage of the wind and bought some kites at the store. It was great flying weather and Trace had never done so before, so he really enjoyed it.

We also went to a local diner for dinner and there was a phone booth there and Trace kept asking what it was and why it was there. Ah, modern technology! We spent the rest of the meal discussing how we used to actually use encyclopedia's and use phones attached to a cord.

Later when the whole gang arrived and the weather turned bad, we retreated to the trailer and the kiddos had a blast playing on the tablet. Thank heaven for electronics when we are supposed to be enjoying the outdoors. Haha!
