Florida Vacation Day 8

Our first port that we stopped at was in Nassau, Bahamas. The weather was so beautiful and the scenery was breathtaking! We booked an excursion to swim with dolphins. It feels so out-of-this-world, it's hard to believe it even happened! Truly a one in a lifetime experience! When we arrived at the sanctuary, we were placed next to a couple of families with kids about the same age as Trace and almost all of them left without the experience because the kids were too nervous to even enter the water! Not our kid! Trace jumped right in, he danced with the dolphin, got a hug and kiss from the dolphin and even touched the mammals underside and tongue! The sanctuary, called the "Blue Lagoon Island", has trained many dolphins in the past for movies and TV and been around for generations. The trainers there were amazing and we just loved getting up close and familiar with these beautiful animals. Such a memorable experience!

After the fun with the sea creatures, we decided to hang out on the beach for a while and enjoy some more of that perfect weather. The boys went into the water to splash around for a bit and I opted to sit in the shade, read and take a few pictures.

Making friends wherever he goes!

Back to the boat!
