Thanksgiving

Kevin tried to get Trace to help with the Thanksgiving meal preparation this year, but Trace had a hard time when it was time to prep the turkey. He kept gagging and squealing about how yucky it was. I tend to agree with him, so now we're just extra thankful that Kevin is such a good cook! We had a few members of the Carrell family over, including Lindsay's best childhood friend, Julie. It's amazing how small my house feels with all those people in it! Don't get me wrong, it's a happy home, just a bit smaller.

Always make time to jump in the leaves

We decided to put the kids to work and have them rake the over-abundance of leaves our trees are producing lately and as expected, it turned into a reason to jump into the piles! I just couldn't reprimand them, I just pulled out the camera.

Lego Creations

Trace still has a strong love of Legos and takes time to build them frequently. He anxiously awaits the arrival of his Lego magazine each month and flips right to the section where they feature Lego builders and their creations from all over the world. He wants to be featured in the magazine so badly, but I keep sending in his photos, but he's yet to be featured in the magazine. I don't want him to lose hope but I sincerely doubt they're going to include him in the magazine. They mostly focus on international children and diversity. I guess he'll have to settle being featured in my blog posts.
