After we saw the Hollywood sign, we headed to our prepaid, scheduled backstage tour of the Warner Brothers Studio Lot. We got to ride around in a large golf cart and it worked out that Kevin and Trace got to sit up front with the guide and I was right behind them. It was so fascinating to see the sets and buildings used for some really iconic films and TV shows.
Don't mind that Trace is wearing different clothes in this picture.
I forgot to take a picture with these characters the day of our tour, so
we went back before we went home to grab a pic.

| Waiting for our tour guide |
| Prime seating! |
| "New York" fire escapes |
| The gazebo was used in Gilmore Girls. |
This building is actually a painted cover that hangs on top of the building.
Makes for easy background building changes.
| This is what the studios look like from the outside, I would get lost! |
They stopped the tour at a costume exhibit that featured the ACTUAL costumes from some of our favorite shows and movies. I was amazed that some of them fit on actual people, they looked so small!
| First edition Aquaman Comic! |
| Trace is fast like the flash! |
| Motorcycle used in the new "Wonder Woman" movie |
| Cyborg from "Teen Titans" |
| Trace did manage to find and play the video games that were featured. |
| Costume from the "Fantastic Beast" series |
| We just saw the movie with this bed in it! |
| Harry Potter's "House Cup" and "Snitch", so cool! |
| The sorting hat sorted Trace into the house of "Slytherin"! |
| Huge spider from Harry Potter, yikes! |
| Different looks of Voldemort |
| "Dobby" the house elf |
| The flying letters from the fireplace! Loved this scene! |
| A fake decent into a "subway", there's nothing down there! |
Steps were used in the Rocky movies? I think?
I may have gotten distracted during this part.
| One of the studios is used as the carpentry shop to help build new sets that are needed. |
They also let us into a special Batman exhibit that featured several vehicles used in his many movies. The boys liked this exhibit more than I did. (I'm a Marvel girl, not so much DC)
| The bat signal! |
| Trace said it looked like he was giving a "fist bump" so he gave him one back! |
They also let us wander through one of the prop studios and we got to see all the items that can be used as props on a particular set. It was really cool to see some of the items were marked as "reserved" for a particular show or movie. Cool stuff!
| Trace thought he looked really good behind the Presidential desk |
| "Game of Thrones" throne chair used by Conan O'Brian's late night talk show |
| Mannequin's used in the Matrix |
This is the only prop in the whole studio that cannot be used or "rented" out anymore.
It is a casino lamp from the movie "Casablanca"!
Entrance to the "Ellen" talk show studio
Much to my dismay we did not see Ellen. Boo!
| "Central Perk" from "Friends" TV Show |
| Costumes from the new movie; "Crazy Rich Asians" |
This exhibit showed how they made the dwarves look smaller and the wizard look larger in the "Lord of the Rings" movies. Playing with dimensions change the effect. Weird to see Trace larger than his father!
At the end of the tour, Trace got to hold a REAL Oscar!
I told him to just practice for the real thing later on in life. He just smiled.
