Better to have loved and lost

Lindsay decided to take the boys to Thanksgiving Point and at the end, let them play on the playground for a while. Everything was going fine, but just before they were planning to leave, Trace came over and sat down on the bench next to her and sighed heavily. She asked; "What's wrong" He put his head in his hands and dramatically said; "I just watched the love of my life drive away forever."
"What?! What do you mean?"
Trace said; "Well, did you see that girl playing over there?"
Lindsay said; "Yeah, what about her?"
"Well, I've never seen any girl as beautiful as her and I was going to go over to talk to her, but right then, her Mom called her and she got in the car and drove out of my life forever!"
Lindsay was laughing so hard she could hardly control herself! When Trace and Lindsay recounted the story to me, Trace seemed genuinely sad and disappointed. Kevin and I laughed also and when I asked Trace for more details and he told me that she had "the yellow" hair and was "probably a lot older" than he was. We guessed that means he likes older, blonde women. We'll have to see if that holds up in the future. Haha!
