I got a wild hair and decided to take the day off of work and accompany Trace and his classmates on a field trip to our local Planetarium named the "Clark Planetarium" in downtown Salt Lake. I envisioned it as a day with Trace, holding hands and skipping through different exhibits as we bonded over our love of all things time and space. Instead, I ended up getting hot and claustrophobic on the bus ride, chasing children all over the museum, never being where we were supposed to be at the right time, and almost completely losing one kid in my group. I guess I'm trained to only be in charge of one kid, any more than that and I can't hack it. I don't think Trace noticed, but it was a good reminder I'm not a "young Mom". The bus ride there and back was filled with one kid simply fawning all over Trace and talking about how they were going to "live together in college". Trace was even uncomfortable with the turn the conversation had taken. The day wasn't all bad, it was fun to watch Trace interact with his classmates and the exhibits were awesome, but I was exhausted to my core when I got home.
