My parents now have two grandsons! My brother and his wife had a son born to them on May 4th, 2015 and 21 days later I was able to take his photos and practice my photography skills again. He is a cute little boy and I think we got some really nice photos as a result.

Picture Day
Trace's daycare center has a photographer come and take pictures of each of the students in their preschool program. I asked the ladies there how the day went when I picked up Trace and they told me they loved watching Trace get his picture taken. He was really cute and sat perfectly on the props and was even giving other kids tips on how to pose for their photos. I just think he looks WAY too old in these photos....wish I could slow down time!

Our Cup Runneth Over
As we were making our way home after a fantastic trip away, we were in the airport and ended up next to a guy pushing a huge trunk that just seemed to end up next to us in several spots. He was in the same elevator as us, using the same lines as us, etc. We just found ourselves next to him a couple of times. Kevin noticed that the guy pushing the trunk had a duffle bag with the "NHL" logo on it, but no particular team. After the third time being in the same area, Kevin said: "Can I guess what's in the trunk?" The guy replied; "Sure" Kevin said: "Is it the cup?" and I popped my head up... "Yup, you got it" said the guy. Turns out, he was the official "keeper of the cup", Philip Pritchard. I was so excited! He and Kevin talked a bit about the cup and he confirmed that players do indeed drink beer out of it, eat cereal and ice cream out of it and all kinds of other crazy activities with the 24 hours they get to spend with the cup after being a part of the winning team. When we finally went our separate ways, Kevin mentioned that he would have loved to ask him to open the trunk, but didn't want to slow him down or be rude. Then, as we were heading to our gate we noticed Phil (we can call him that now) at the gate waiting for someone to verify his ID with the trunk open. We saw our opportunity and rushed over quickly and asked him for a quick picture. He said "sure" and then went back to talking to the airline agent. Such a cool experience! One we won't soon forget!
Henry Cowell Redwood Forest
Years ago, Kevin and I visited Muir Woods and really loved our time there and wanted to share the magic of the redwood forest with Trace. We discovered that the Henry Cowell redwood forest was on our way home and so we decided to head there and see what we could see. It was such a beautiful day and wonderful weather. We kept commenting that we could breathe so well and the fresh air was simply fantastic! I was wondering if we could buy land and put a house there, but I think the State Park might have a problem with that plan. We ran into a family taking a walk and they told us that they come there often and enjoy the fresh air at least once a week, how lucky!
Look at the huge tree and the small boy!
"Look how tall these trees are Mom!"
These little yellow slugs were everywhere! I guess they help the forest decompose and make room for new growth. Still yucky if you ask me.
"Look what I can do!"

Car Show
On one of our last days, we stumbled into a car show and had to just take a look at some of the cool automobiles on display.
Kevin Sr.'s favorite kind of car
Kevin Jr.'s favorite kind of car, even the right color!
My Dad's favorite kind of car (one of many)
Is that a boat or a car?
One of my favorite kind of cars
I'm a little boy, I must jump on or over everything I see!
