Stuck at the Starting Line

Adam invited the whole family out to the race track to see him participate in the "midnight marathon" race with his Porsche. Its a race that they all start out at around 6:00pm and race and race until midnight. Tamara and I kept wondering what you do when you need to use the facilities, but we discovered when we arrived was that two drivers actually switch out ever couple of hours or so. Ah ha! The other thing we discovered when we arrived was that Adam's car was out on the track for the warm up laps and blew something underneath the car that couldn't be replaced or repaired on the track. So what was supposed to be a really long race night for Adam turned out to be a really short race day. I felt so bad and Trace was bummed that he didn't get to see his Uncle Adam race, but I was really impressed how Adam just let it roll off his back. He could have gotten really upset that the reason everyone came out was to see him and that it didn't go off as planned, but he just relaxed and had a nice night at the races. Something I need to take note of and try to emulate. Hopefully next time we'll get to see him race and maybe even win!
