Independence Day

This year on the 4th of July, we woke early and met Kevin's parents at the Riverton Park. We had a nice breakfast together and let Trace and Boston play on some of the games and rides they had at the park. They rode a mechanical bull, played a gun game, ran inside large inflatable balls and even got into a ring with huge boxing gloves and beat each other senseless. Such a great time for both little fellas and a great start to the day!

Later that day, my Dad decided to enter his Corvette into the parade, so we decided to watch the entire parade and cheer him on. I thought we had made it there in plenty of time to get a good seat, but the only places left were directly looking into the sun and a sweltering 104°! It was nice of Tamara, Adam, Rob and Ivanna to come and sit with us, but boy, that heat was melting us all! My Dad said that next year, if it is that hot again, he will not be participating. Trace and Liam seemed to have a good time collecting candy and looking at the floats. We appreciated the really big floats that blocked the sun for the short time they were in front of us. Haha!

After the parade we headed to Kevin's parents house to watch the Riverton City park fireworks, right from the front yard of their new house! Easy parking, easy viewing and great company!
