One Cool Cowboy

Since we didn't have time to attend the rodeo in St. Anthony when we were visiting there, when we got home we decided to check out the local rodeo at the new outdoor arena at the State Fair park. It was a nice facility and a pretty good rodeo! I thought it was funny because Trace wanted to wear "a cowboy costume" to the event and he was more than sad that he didn't have a large belt buckle or cowboy boots. (Guess what he got for Christmas the same year?) He came as close as he could and during one of the breaks in the action, we went out to grab some snacks and saw a free bull ride area. He said he wanted to try it and he ended up doing pretty good! I was glad that he was willing to try something a little scary and didn't give up immediately. Not sure if he'll "grow up to be a cowboy", but it made for a fun family night!
